Redesign of the opening title sequence for the film "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" by Terry Gilliam. I played with different ways in which type could interact with objects associated with the characters. I chose the typeface Clarendon for its sturdy, slab quality, reminiscent of theater bills from the 19th century, an aesthetic that pervades the film. For the music, I chose a song entitled Bratislava by the band Beirut. Its fast-paced Eastern-European folk sound references the vagabond circus theater operated by Dr. Parnassus and company.
